It Looks Like a Prom Went Off in Here

It’s the first day of school since prom, and it looks like it won’t be any different than any other first day after prom that I’ve experienced. How do I explain to those of you who have never seen such a thing though?

Well, first of all, we’re lean as far as attendance goes. Not only do Seniors take the following Monday off, but others have followed suit as well. I’m not sure why underclassmen, who did not even attend prom, have decided to skip today. I guess they want to show their solidarity in expressing the belief that learning is not that important. Anyway, I’m just saying that this place is so desolate that Will Smith could be hunting down gazelle in our cafeteria.

Speaking of movies where places are left in ruins, this school didn’t fair too well with APE this year. Since it was the only thing held here this weekend I can only assume the damage I see come from it. Two of the front doors had been boarded up due to broken glass. Countless ceiling tiles are missing and APE memorabilia (steins, t-shirts, towels) is strewn about campus. It looks as if things got a bit wild.

Good lord, I just realized something. I passed a tape outline of a body on the way to my room. Seeing how APE’s theme was A Night of Mystery I just assumed it was leftover decoration. What if it wasn’t?
