Things That Go Bump in the Hall
I had a scare today during the test. What got to me, I can’t quite say.
While we were testing this violent noise rose and fell in the hallway. I poked my head out to investigate, but nothing. As soon as I retreated back in, the ruckus started again. It sounded like a night right out of that I Am Legend movie.
If we weren’t forty-five minutes into the test, then I would have been concerned. For those not familiar with state standardized test scenario, let me explain:
The students get about two-and-a-half hours to complete a test that in reality takes them about thirty minutes (though they should probably take better advantage of the time allotted to them).
Half of them didn’t even wake from the commotion.
