We lost another good one.

Crap all mighty—a teacher passed away this morning. He was in his classroom, no less. A kid coming in for tutoring found him. I feel bad for that kid, too. That had to be a horrible experience.

To be honest, it is fitting that he died in his classroom. Over the years I watched this man dedicate his life to teaching. He was one of the ones who you always thought of when were in need of a Why did I go into teaching? booster. He was always enthusiastic and supportive with all around him—teachers and students. He will be missed.

It is just a shame that we live in a world where there’s a statue of Michael Jordan dunking a basketball, but there won’t be one of this teacher, doing one of his lessons for the kid, with a big old grin on his face.
