Things That Go Bump In The Parking Lot

So speed bumps were put in the school parking lot to get the kids to slow down. According to my seventh period (they share everything) they can’t wait until the bell rings to end school. That’s when it’s time for a game they play called Speed Bumper Cars.

The game goes like this: you, in your car, race the opponent (resulting in one of the cars being on the wrong side of parking aisle) to see who can get to the speed bump first. The game resets when you go over the speed bump only to race to the next one.

Leave it to high school kids to turn a safety device into a dangerous game. I’m telling you people that we’re a couple of years from fire extinguisher dueling and something called Dodge Safety Cone.
