A Photo Finish

One of my kids asked me to photocopy his driver’s license so he could submit his paperwork for a school parking space for next year—during the middle of class. There’s nothing like a student focused on closing the end of the year out. Jeez.

Just for that I had to rev up the sarcasm.

“Oh okay, do you want me to do the front and back?”

“Uh, sure.”

“I know; I can set it up to where the front and back are on the same page!”

The student, by this time, has realized that I’m feigning excitement and reaches for his ID back.

As I give it back I finish with, “And in color!”
