Sign of the Times
So I walked into the workroom the other day and I see a sign on the board that says, "Please do not take anything from the refrigerator, if it isn't yours." Are you kidding me?! I suffer from hunger pains like 85% of the time and I don't even take others people's stuff. It's not up for grabs until someone gets rid of it. That's the rule. Seriously, who takes something from someone else? We're supposed to be role models. What's the next sign going to say?
"To the one that is doing the hit and runs in the parking lot--quit it."
-or-
"Remember, the bulletin board is not for racial slurs."
The kicker to this story:
I opened up the fridge today and there were six Diet Dr. Peppers with a teacher's return address labels plastered to the top of the cans.
There is something surreal about that.
Trust me.
I half expect to find a Tupperware container with a bike lock on it tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.
